Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalaf Allah, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, welcomed Eng. Ahmed Omran, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Utilities Sector, during his inspection tour to follow up on ongoing projects in the tourist villages, accompanied by a number of officials and project stakeholders.
The tour began with an inspection of the lake development works in the southern expansions New Marina by the Lake, where the completion rate of the first phase has reached about 85%. The Vice President called for accelerating performance rates to showcase the scale of developmental achievements in the southern area, which represents an excellent investment and tourism opportunity.
The tour also included follow-up on construction, utility works, and general site coordination at Marina (8), where the completion rate has reached 30%. In addition, the delegation inspected the treatment plant at kilometer 102, which operates with a capacity of 6,400 m³/day and is used to supply irrigation networks after tertiary treatment.
The Head of the Authority pointed out that the electromechanical works of the first phase of the Station 102 project have reached 90% completion, with a total cost of approximately EGP 100 million. He stressed the importance of addressing observations and applying safety regulations in preparation for the anticipated increase in demand.
