Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted a field visit to follow up on the upgrading works of the dual service road and the construction of the fence surrounding the Champs-Élysées area. The tour also included an inspection of the main canal project in the Marina El Alamein Tourist Center. He was accompanied by several officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the heads of the New Alamein City and Tourist Villages authorities.
During his tour, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny listened to a detailed briefing on the dual service road development works. Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalaf Allah explained that the expansion and duplication of the service road from Marina 1 to Marina 3 represent a transformative step in transportation within the area. He also noted that the works contribute to revitalizing the Champs-Élysées area by building a separating fence to convert it into a commercial and service zone that meets the needs of both property owners and visitors to the coastal area.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny continued to monitor the space utilization plan within the Marina El Alamein Tourist Center and personally supervised the main canal works, which represent the most vital maritime corridor for transferring seawater from the northern Marina lakes to the lakes in the southern expansions. Stretching 550 meters, this project supports development in the southern area and ensures optimal land use in line with the state’s development plans along the North Coast, beginning with the Marina El Alamein Tourist Center.
During his tour, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny instructed that the work pace be accelerated to ensure the completion of the projects within the scheduled timelines.
