Two Apartments per Family, and Previous Applicants Are Eligible

Engineer Amr Khattab, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Housing, announced that the new 2025 housing project, which includes 261,000 residential units, is considered part of the “free housing” category.

In a televised statement, Khattab mentioned that individuals who have previously received housing units are still eligible to apply for a new apartment within this free housing project. This is different from the usual announcements made through the Social Housing Fund.

He also explained that both the husband and wife can each apply for a separate apartment under the free housing program, provided that the two units are in different housing projects.

2025 New Housing Launch

Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the offering of more than 261,000 residential units under the social housing program for low- and middle-income individuals. This offering will be made available through the Housing and Development Bank, as part of the largest housing project to date, which will include a total of 400,000 new units.

The prices of the residential units will range between EGP 10,000 and EGP 35,000 per square meter, depending on the type of housing, the level of finishing, and the location of the project.
