The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, followed up on the progress of the urgent phase projects in New Suez City, which include residential, service, and infrastructure projects. He emphasized the importance of adhering to deadlines, meeting standard specifications, and ensuring high-quality execution. Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the City Authority, also inspected the work being carried out over an area of 300 acres, where 86 residential buildings are under construction, providing 2,064 fully finished housing units.
The Head of the Authority inspected one of the residential units, affirming that good housing standards are being implemented in terms of space, finishing quality, and utility services. She also monitored the commercial market project, which includes 8 shops, a school with 33 classrooms, a nursery, a water tank with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, as well as natural gas connection works, a high-safety electricity network, and a wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 1,000 cubic meters per day. The tour also included a follow-up on road rehabilitation projects in the Ataqa Industrial District to support transportation and industrial activities.
Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf emphasized that New Suez City, as a fourth-generation city, represents a fully integrated urban model combining housing, services, and smart infrastructure, making it attractive to residents and investors. She was accompanied on the tour by a number of engineers and project officials.
