At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister emphasized that this gathering is part of the ongoing follow-up on the project to ensure adherence to the set deadlines. He highlighted the great significance of the Central Business District project, which receives periodic attention from the political leadership. The project reflects Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in urban development and the strong ties between the two countries, especially as “CSCEC,” the Chinese company executing the project, is involved in multiple developments in Egypt.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the work plan and the progress of the projects, stressing the importance of strict adherence to the specified timelines for completion by the directives of the political leadership. He also reaffirmed the ministry’s commitment to providing the necessary support to complete the projects and underlined the importance of continuous monitoring.

The Minister then listened to a detailed presentation on the latest developments regarding the execution of the Central Business District in the New Administrative Capital. The district comprises a collection of multi-purpose towers, including 10 buildings designated for administrative, office, commercial, and service-related activities, with heights ranging from 80 to 175 meters. Additionally, there are five residential towers containing 1,700 fully finished residential units, with heights between 152 and 200 meters.

The presentation also highlighted the crescent-shaped towers, consisting of four interconnected buildings that feature hotel accommodations, public services, entertainment, and commercial activities, reaching a height of 64 meters. Furthermore, attention was drawn to the Iconic Tower, which stands at approximately 400 meters tall.

After the meeting, several proposals were discussed to enhance workflow and implementation mechanisms. The Minister emphasized the importance of regular follow-ups through daily on-site presence and the preparation of necessary reports.
