Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud, Head of the New October City Development Authority, followed up on the plans to accelerate the implementation of service projects in the city. A total of 27 service buildings are currently under construction in the West Airport area for EGP 1 billion. These buildings include schools, markets, nurseries, health units, a club, and a youth center aimed at meeting the needs of the residents.
This comes under the directives of the Minister of Housing to intensify efforts in service projects while adhering to the highest quality standards. Abdel Maqsoud also pointed out that the West Airport area has been divided into three sectors covering a total area of 2,800 feddans, with the construction of 90,000 housing units underway.
Eng. Mohamed Abdel Maqsoud announced the implementation of an ambulance point building in the West Airport area to enhance healthcare services and ensure a swift response to emergency cases. This effort is part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” Meanwhile, Eng. Mahmoud Murad, Deputy Head of the City Authority, inspected the progress of the social club project in Zone (A) of West Airport, which has reached 88% completion. The project is expected to be finalized by the end of July and will offer a variety of sports and social activities, including swimming pools, sports fields, and a commercial center.
Murad also visited the construction sites of two new schools—one for primary education and the other for secondary education—currently being prepared to start operations at the beginning of the next academic year in Zone (A) of West Airport. Additionally, final touches are being made on a primary school, two commercial markets, a health unit, and a nursery in Zone (B) of West Airport. A youth center is also being built to enhance the range of services available to the area’s residents.
