Engineer Bassam Mohamed Fadl, Head of the Shorouk City Authority, led a field inspection tour today, accompanied by the Security, Neighborhoods, and Development Departments, in coordination with the Utilities Police. The tour focused on major roads that had been closed due to the accumulation of waste.
A comprehensive cleanup campaign was carried out by the Authority’s executive departments, utilizing all necessary equipment to remove the waste dumped at the entrances and various affected locations.
The Head of the Authority stated that more than 10,000 cubic meters of excavation waste and construction materials were removed. As a result, all main roads were fully reopened, and legal action has been taken against the violators.
He also issued strict directives to enforce all legal measures against those responsible for illegal dumping, emphasizing the importance of ongoing efforts to remove waste and improve the city’s infrastructure. The campaign, he noted, aims to protect the lives of Shorouk City residents and ensure their safety by eliminating waste and strengthening infrastructure, ultimately preserving public health and well-being.
