Settlement of Building Violations: New Regulations and Procedures

The Khalifa district in Cairo has released the names of applicants whose building violation settlement requests have been rejected by the Review Committee. The district confirmed that those whose requests were denied have 30 days from the announcement date to submit an appeal. If no appeal is made within this period, the requests will be permanently rejected, and applicants will need to reapply under the new Law No. 187 of 2023.

New Settlement Law

In a related development, Major General Ahmed Gouda, Head of the East Nasr City District, emphasized the importance of speeding up the process of finalizing settlement requests according to the new Settlement Law No. 187 of 2023. He also highlighted the need to intensify efforts to convert settlements under the old Law No. 17 of 2019 into the framework of the new law and expedite the issuance of required data certificates.

Completion of Settlement Files

During a meeting with department heads of engineering, housing, and the district’s technology center, the head of the East Nasr City District urged citizens who have already submitted settlement requests to complete their files promptly. The meeting focused on discussing essential procedures to improve the performance of district services and addressing challenges to enhance service delivery. These efforts align with Egypt’s Vision 2030, aiming to improve public services and better serve citizens.
