Engineer Ashraf Fathy, Head of the New Damietta City Authority, announced the organization of a public auction to sell nine commercial shops in the Sixth District to meet the needs of residents in the Jannah project’s neighborhoods (34, 33).
The Head of the Authority clarified that representatives from the State Council, the New Urban Communities Authority, the Ministry of Finance, and the Urban Development Police attended the auction session, along with the committee formed by the relevant authority departments.
In the same context, Engineer Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud, accompanied by officials from the authority, conducted an inspection tour to oversee the development and maintenance work on the main road leading to the port entrance and New Damietta City. This was to ensure smooth traffic flow. He emphasized the importance of intensifying efforts in landscaping, beautification, and cleanliness on roads, main routes, and city entrances. Additionally, he stressed that the operation and maintenance companies must adhere to the regular maintenance schedule for street lighting poles on roads and entrances.
The Head of the Authority and his team visited the housing projects in the city (Jannah, Dar Misr) to assess the quality of services provided and monitor the daily activities of companies responsible for security, guarding, cleaning, and landscaping. It was also emphasized that any encroachments or unauthorized occupations in the markets within the (Dar Misr) project must be prevented to maintain the city’s urban and developmental appearance.
The Head of the Authority reaffirmed to the companies responsible for development and maintenance projects the need to expedite the restoration of road infrastructure while strictly adhering to the required quality and specifications. This ensures the continuity of development and service provision in the city.
