Around 41,000 people have applied to register for 3,208 land plots in the Sadat City lottery, which includes land and residential units as part of the “Maskan” program under the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA).
Land and Housing Unit Lottery in Sadat City
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, confirmed that a public lottery was conducted for applicants who registered for premium land plots, middle-income housing plots, and Dar Misr units. These were previously offered under the Maskan program in Sadat City. The minister stated that the lottery was held at the indoor hall of Cairo International Stadium in the presence of many applicants.
Details of the Offering and Applicants
Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagi, Vice President of NUCA for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, provided details of the land and housing unit offerings in Sadat City as follows:
- A total of 1,938 premium land plots were offered, with 202 applicants from people with special needs and 6,617 applicants from the general public.
- Additionally, 1,270 middle-income land plots were offered, attracting 761 applicants from people with special needs and 33,937 applicants from the general public.
- El-Shorbagi added that a public lottery was also conducted for Dar Misr units, with 11 units offered. These attracted eight applicants from people with special needs and 200 applicants from the general public.
6th of October and New Cairo Lotteries
El-Shorbagi further explained that the public lottery for Jannah housing units and premium land plots on the 6th of October City will be held today, February 24, 2025. Meanwhile, the Jannah housing unit lottery in New Cairo will occur tomorrow, February 25, 2025, at the Cairo International Stadium (main field). For middle-income land plots in New Borg El Arab City, the lottery is scheduled for February 26, 2025, at the indoor hall of Cairo International Stadium.
It is important to note that only applicants who wish to attend the public lottery are allowed entry, provided they present proof of the booking down payment. The lottery events will also be broadcast live on the official NUCA website. Applicants who failed to meet the terms and conditions outlined in the booking guidelines have been excluded from participating in the lottery.
