Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced on Saturday that brochures containing terms, specifications, and locations for the units in the first phase—comprising 35,088 housing units—will be available starting Tuesday, April 15, 2025, through the official website of the Housing and Development Bank. This comes as part of the largest offering of residential units across several governorates and new cities.
The Minister of Housing clarified that the ministry plans to offer approximately 400,000 housing units, making this the largest housing initiative ever prepared. This initiative aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who aims to provide suitable housing for various income groups. He emphasized that this offering is a significant step toward realizing the state’s vision of securing adequate and suitable housing for all citizens.
Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny further detailed that a total of 261,253 housing units will be offered through the Housing and Development Bank’s website, distributed across five phases. The first phase, launching on April 15, 2025, will include 35,088 units, followed by the second phase on July 15, 2025, offering 59,510 units. The third phase, scheduled for October 15, 2025, will feature 59,687 units, while the fourth phase on January 15, 2026, will include 58,312 units. The fifth and final phase will launch on April 15, 2026, with 48,656 units.
The Minister stressed that this initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to meet the housing needs of citizens from all social segments. It is also an integral part of a comprehensive plan aimed at providing safe and suitable housing for every Egyptian family. He further highlighted the ministry’s commitment to improving the standard of living for all citizens to ensure a dignified life.
