Thousands of citizens are eagerly anticipating the major housing launch the government is set to announce in the coming weeks. In this context, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, revealed a plan to offer more than 261,000 residential units under the Social Housing Project for low- and middle-income groups. This comes as part of the largest-ever offering of housing units, totaling 400,000 new homes.
The Minister also highlighted that the real estate sector has witnessed significant development during the presidency of Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He announced the offering of 115,000 housing units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians”, targeting both low- and middle-income groups, through the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund.
A total of 261,253 residential units have been offered through the Housing and Development Bank, with the following rollout schedule:

35,088 housing units will be launched on April 15, 2025.

59,510 housing units to be offered on July 15, 2025.

59,687 housing units will be announced on October 15, 2025.

58,312 housing units to be launched on January 15, 2026.

48,656 housing units will be offered on April 15, 2026.
The unit prices will range between EGP 10,000 and EGP 35,000 per square meter, depending on the type of housing and location. Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny confirmed that 115,000 housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative will be of high quality with modern designs.
He also noted the continued progress of the real estate sector under President El-Sisi’s leadership, with ongoing efforts to promote digital transformation in cooperation with the Egyptian Real Estate Platform, to simplify the housing application process.
