Progress in New Marina’s Southern Expansions Underway

Dr. Engineer Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourism Villages Authority, welcomed Engineer Ahmed Omran, Assistant Deputy Head of the Utilities and Stations Sector, during a site visit to monitor ongoing excavation works in the New Marina area, part of the southern expansions. The excavation efforts are being carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Irrigation.

Progress in Lake Development

Dr. Khalafallah stated that the development of the lakes is progressing steadily, with 18% completion achieved so far, in line with directives from Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities.

Vision for the Project

The master plan includes a range of tourism projects, services, and construction activities, with the first phase focusing on the M8 by the Lake development.

Additionally, the project team reviewed the status of infrastructure design, including utilities, roads, and electricity. A future work plan was outlined for subsequent implementation phases.

Commitment to Deadlines

Emphasizing the importance of adhering to the timeline, Dr. Khalafallah noted that all contractors and supervisory teams were instructed to comply with the set schedules and execution rates, ensuring timely delivery of the project as per the planned milestones.

This initiative reflects the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing tourism and providing world-class facilities in Egypt’s key development zones.
