Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, recently inspected the development projects at the “Greatest Manifestation” site, starting with the construction of the mountain hotel. During his visit, Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, provided an overview of the project components.
El Sherbiny explained that the Ministry has developed a comprehensive plan for the “Greatest Manifestation” project, aiming to create a spiritual sanctuary on the mountains surrounding the Sacred Valley in Saint Catherine. The site will serve as a global destination for spiritual, mountain, wellness, and eco-tourism while providing comprehensive services for visitors. The project also focuses on maintaining the natural, visual, and heritage character of the untouched environment.
The project, financed by the New Urban Communities Authority, includes a new visitor center, an outdoor celebration area, a museum, conference halls, and a mountain hotel with views of the Saint Catherine Monastery and the “Greatest Manifestation” Plateau.
Other key developments include the eco-lodge extension in Wadi Al-Raha, a desert garden, and the creation of Moses’ Path, which mirrors the historical route of Prophet Moses. Additionally, a new residential district is being built in Al-Zaytouna alongside a mountain resort with chalets, bazaars, and a social club.
The project also involves restoring President Anwar Sadat’s historical guesthouse and improving infrastructure like roads, utilities, and flood prevention systems. El Sherbiny added that coordination with the Ministry of Electricity and the Ministry of Communications is ongoing to ensure sustainable power and communication networks for the area.
