The Official Gazette, in its issue No. 46 (Supplement C), announced Presidential Decree No. 671 of 2025 issued by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, which includes amendments to certain provisions of Presidential Decree No. 36 of 2019 concerning the establishment of a private university under the name “Sphinx University.”
According to Article One of the decision, a new faculty has been added to the colleges of Sphinx University listed in Article Four of Presidential Decree No. 36 of 2019.
The newly added faculty is:
12 – Faculty of Medicine, with an emphasis that the commencement of study at this faculty is contingent upon the establishment and operation of the university hospital, and only after obtaining the approval of the Council of Private Universities regarding the facilities and operational program.
