President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with several officials to review the latest developments of the New Delta Project and discuss maximizing the use of water resources to support agricultural projects.
The president stressed the importance of closely monitoring the progress of the project in coordination with the “Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development” authority, with the aim of strengthening food security and encouraging private-sector participation in developing agricultural infrastructure.

The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation presented details on the construction of the agricultural drainage water transmission route for the New Delta plant. He explained that 85% of the project has been completed, which includes 12 pumping stations and a 166-kilometer-long transmission path. President Sisi emphasized the need to adhere to project timelines and to continue efforts to remove encroachments on the Nile River.
The Executive Director of the Future of Egypt Authority also presented plans for reclaiming new lands in the Al-Kufra area and along the Dakhla–Owainat road, scheduled to begin early next year. He additionally discussed studies for agricultural projects in Senegal and other African countries.
