President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the President of the State of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas. Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that during the call, the Palestinian President expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast positions in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as for the continuous humanitarian assistance provided by the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Palestinian people, especially in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions currently experienced in the Gaza Strip.
The spokesperson added that President Mahmoud Abbas praised Egypt’s strong stance in rejecting the displacement of the Palestinian people, affirming that the State of Palestine stands alongside Egypt—its leadership, army, government, and people—in the face of any attempts to undermine its security and stability.
The Palestinian President also warned of the dangers of the decision taken yesterday by the Israeli government to reoccupy the Gaza Strip and displace its residents to the south, describing this decision as a new crime added to the series of Israeli violations in the West Bank, including Jerusalem. He stressed his determination to continue political action at all levels, including resorting to the United Nations Security Council, the League of Arab States, and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
