President El-Sisi Reviews Opportunities for Expansion in Industrial Zones

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reviewed opportunities for expansion in industrial zones as part of the national plan to advance local industry. These efforts aim to establish new factories that meet domestic market needs, with a particular focus on supporting the policy of localizing industry and enhancing reliance on locally produced production inputs.

This came during the President’s meeting on Monday with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly; Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, General Kamel Al-Wazir; Presidential Advisor for Financial Affairs, General Ahmed El-Shazly; Director General of the Armed Forces National Service Projects Organization, Major General Magdy Anwar; and Head of the Armed Forces Financial Affairs Authority, Major General Khaled Ahmed Abdullah.

According to Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the President was briefed during the meeting on updates regarding the development and management of ports across the country. This included the master plan for Gargoub Port and its economic zone, Abu Qir Port, and the liquid bulk terminal for petroleum product storage at East Port Said.

The meeting also addressed the management, operation, and marketing of Galala Marina, as well as the superstructure of Berenice Port. The expected returns of these projects and the employment opportunities they will create were reviewed. The President directed continued development of the port network to strengthen integration with the infrastructure completed in recent years and maximize its benefits to the state.
