President El-Sisi Orders Committee to Investigate Ramses Central Fire

Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly chaired the weekly Cabinet meeting at the New Administrative Capital, during which several topics were discussed. At the beginning of the meeting, Madbouly highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s recent activities, including communications and meetings with international leaders to discuss matters of mutual interest and to strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields.

Prime Minister Madbouly also spoke about his recent visit to the Ramses Central building to oversee the response to the fire incident and the restoration of affected services. He confirmed that President El-Sisi had directed the formation of a committee to investigate the causes of the fire. He praised the efforts of civil defense and ambulance teams in handling the situation and extended his thanks to the House of Representatives for approving government-submitted draft laws, including amendments to the Old Rent Law, as well as laws on education and sports, affirming the government’s support for the amendments proposed by members of parliament.

Madbouly stressed the importance of the legislation passed by the House, particularly the Old Rent Law, noting that the government is committed to providing clear alternatives for tenants. He also reviewed the outcomes of his participation in the Fourth United Nations Conference on Financing for Development held in Seville and the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro. During these events, he held meetings with international officials to enhance Egypt’s regional and global role and expand cooperation in various sectors.
