President El-Sisi Honors Scientific and Religious Figures and Awards the Order of Sciences and Arts

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi honored a number of distinguished scientists and prominent figures by awarding them the Order of Sciences and Arts, First Class, during the celebration of the Prophet’s Birthday organized by the Ministry of Endowments at Al-Manara Center in New Cairo.

The honorees from Egypt included: Dr. Galal Agwa, Dr. Ragaa Hazein, Sheikh Mahmoud Qenawy, Dr. Mohamed El-Bayoumi, Dr. Hala Ramadan, and Abdel Rahman Khaled. From outside Egypt, the recognition went to Dr. Seymur Nasirov from Azerbaijan and Dr. Jim Drame from Senegal.

In addition, the President granted the Medal of Merit, First Class, to the name of martyr Khaled Mohamed Shawky, in appreciation of his sacrifice in saving residents of a residential area. The honor was received by his wife and children.

This recognition highlights the state’s commitment to appreciating scientists and their role in building society, while also immortalizing the sacrifices of martyrs for the sake of the nation.
