President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said to discuss regional developments and the importance of de-escalation between Israel and Iran. President El-Sisi emphasized the necessity of returning to the negotiating table to avoid further conflict and praised the role of the Sultanate of Oman in mediation efforts.

For his part, Sultan Haitham valued Egypt’s efforts to halt the violence. Both leaders agreed on the urgency of a ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid. They also reaffirmed the importance of establishing an independent Palestinian state as a cornerstone for regional stability.
The conversation also highlighted the deep-rooted Egyptian-Omani relations and the need to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
