President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is heading today to Malabo, the capital of Equatorial Guinea, to participate in the 7th Mid-Year Coordination Summit of the African Union.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the Spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that President El-Sisi’s participation comes in his capacity as the Chair of the North Africa Regional Mechanism and the Chair of the Steering Committee of the Heads of State and Government of the NEPAD Agency. During the summit, he will present Egypt’s efforts in developing the work of both mechanisms to support security and development across the continent.
President El-Sisi is also expected to hold meetings with a number of African leaders to discuss the continent’s challenges and explore ways to strengthen stability and fulfill the aspirations of African peoples.
