President El-Sisi Directs the Protection and Preservation of Egyptian Radio and Television Heritage

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met today, Thursday, with Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology; Ahmed Al-Muslimani, Chairman of the National Media Authority; and Major General Mohsen Abdel Nabi, Media Adviser to the President of the Republic.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that during the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of safeguarding the heritage of Egyptian radio and television. He stressed the need to convert all radio and television tapes owned by the Authority into a digital format to preserve this legacy, while also making use of the content through the digital platform the National Media Authority plans to establish.

The Ambassador also added that the President instructed the continuation of work on the Global Website for the Holy Qur’an Radio, with the aim of preserving the archives of renowned reciters and supplicants, as well as maintaining the distinguished programs broadcast by the station since its inception in 1964.
