President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis during which they discussed regional developments and bilateral relations.
Both leaders agreed on the importance of forming a new, unified Libyan government to enable the simultaneous holding of elections. They also expressed support for the efforts of the Libyan House of Representatives and the High Council of State in reaching a consensual roadmap.
Furthermore, the two sides affirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and exploring new avenues for cooperation, particularly in the fields of economy and energy.
President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s commitment to protecting religious sanctities and stressed the need to correct misinformation related to the Saint Catherine Monastery.
