President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi explained that subsidies provided solely to the butane gas sector have reached 30 billion EGP. His remarks came during an interactive session held with new applicants to the Police Academy, where he discussed recent developments at the domestic, regional, and international levels.
Earlier today, President El-Sisi visited the Police Academy, where he was received by Minister of Interior Major General Mahmoud Tawfiq and a number of senior officials from the academy and the ministry.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency of the Republic, stated that the President observed the personal assessment tests for male and female applicants seeking admission to the academy.

He emphasized the importance of applying strict and objective criteria to select the most qualified and distinguished candidates for the police force. This, he noted, supports ongoing efforts to enhance security performance and reinforce stability across the country.
During his discussion with the applicants, President El-Sisi highlighted the strong unity among the Egyptian people in confronting internal challenges, stressing the collective commitment to advancing development and achieving tangible national accomplishments.
He added that current regional circumstances require solidarity to preserve national gains and continue the development journey by ensuring security and stability.
The President expressed his admiration for the sincere desire he witnessed among the applicants to earn the honor of joining the police force and serving the nation. He reaffirmed his deep appreciation for the pivotal role of the police in safeguarding the state, as well as his gratitude for the tremendous sacrifices made by officers and their families over the years in the fight against terrorism—sacrifices that reflect the true character of the Egyptian people in overcoming challenges.
