MP Dr. Ahmed Abdel Meguid, Deputy Chairman of the Housing Committee in the House of Representatives, emphasized that Egypt has made remarkable progress in urban development and residential construction, having completed over one million housing units as part of the presidential initiative.
He highlighted Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly’s recent handover of units under the Housing for All Egyptians program in the 10th of Ramadan City, reflecting the state’s commitment to providing housing for low- and middle-income citizens and addressing housing challenges affecting millions of Egyptians.
The Deputy Chairman of the Housing Committee noted that the simultaneous construction of service buildings alongside residential units aims to ensure that all essential services are available to residents as soon as they move in.
The Alexandria MP praised the government’s efforts in launching more than one million housing units, with 722,000 units already completed—169,000 in various governorates and 553,000 in new cities over the past few years. This represents a significant success in the urban sector within the framework of the New Republic, a milestone credited to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Dr. Ahmed Abdel Meguid concluded that the Housing for All Egyptians initiative is the largest worldwide in terms of the number of units, competitive pricing, and high-quality finishes. He reaffirmed that work will continue in this field to support low- and middle-income individuals and provide housing for all.
