Engineer Essam El-Sheikh, Deputy Head of the New Alamein City Authority, on behalf of the Authority’s Head Engineer Ahmed Ibrahim, inaugurated the first sculpture exhibition titled “Art Space – New Alamein Through the Eyes of an Artist”. The event was organized by visual artist Mohamed Hamida on the city’s tourist promenade under the patronage of Minister of Housing Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny.
El-Sheikh stated that the exhibition will run for 20 days, showcasing contemporary sculptural works in an open-air space to promote visual culture and encourage public interaction with art within a vibrant urban setting.
He explained that the event comes as part of a partnership between the ministry and the private sector to support artistic initiatives in fourth-generation cities, reaffirming the role of art in urban development and in strengthening cultural identity.
