The Ministry of Housing has announced that it is nearing its goal of providing one million housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians” program dedicated to low-income citizens.

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, stated that approximately one million housing units have been launched as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians,” explicitly targeting low-income groups.
The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities explained that 721,000 housing units designated for low-income citizens have been completed, while work is still ongoing to finalize an additional 251,000 units.
This announcement was made during a meeting chaired by Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny for the Board of Directors of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, where the execution status of housing units for low- and middle-income citizens was reviewed. These units have been implemented and are currently under construction as part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s initiative, “Housing for All Egyptians.” Additionally, the meeting discussed the status of the “Housing for All Egyptians 5” announcement and relevant performance indicators.
Screening Process for “Housing for All Egyptians 5”
Mai Abdel Hamid, CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, visited the screening process site to monitor the evaluation of documents submitted by citizens applying for housing units under the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians 5,” which targets low- and middle-income citizens.
The CEO of the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund stated that work is being carried out in shifts around the clock to extend working hours and meet the high demand for housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians 5″ announcement. Seven hundred sixty-two thousand citizens have purchased the terms and conditions booklet, 589,000 have paid initial booking deposits, and 571,000 have registered on the fund’s website.
