Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, held his regular meeting yesterday evening with a number of members of parliament from both the House of Representatives and the Senate to discuss the demands of their electoral constituencies, in the presence of officials from the Ministry and its affiliated executive bodies.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini opened the meeting by welcoming the parliamentarians, emphasizing the importance of the current phase, which requires joint efforts to overcome challenges—especially as the MPs represent various segments of society. He stressed the necessity of communication and cooperation between the executive and legislative branches to serve the interests of the nation and its citizens, expressing his keenness to maintain ongoing dialogue with members of parliament to listen to their demands and work on fulfilling them.
The MPs’ requests included housing projects, drinking water, and sanitation, in addition to other areas related to the work of the Ministry of Housing in several governorates and cities.
Members of both the House of Representatives and the Senate expressed their thanks and appreciation to Engineer Sherif El-Sherbini for his swift directives to the Ministry of Housing’s team and its affiliated bodies to follow up on the projects directly and on-site. This, they noted, contributes to accelerating the pace of work and coordinating efforts to meet the needs of citizens.
