The Official Gazette has published the final account details of the New Urban Communities Authority’s (NUCA) budget for the fiscal year 2023/2024, as approved by the House of Representatives and signed by the President. The report highlights strong financial performance and a government surplus. The total account amounted to EGP 263.3 billion, reflecting significant spending on national projects. Total expenditures reached EGP 114.5 billion, including EGP 24.7 billion for employee wages and EGP 89.8 billion for other costs.
The Authority successfully generated total revenues of EGP 123.3 billion, resulting in a net profit of EGP 8.8 billion, which was fully transferred to the government. Capital uses were recorded at EGP 139.9 billion, distributed between EGP 46.5 billion in investments and approximately EGP 93.4 billion in capital transfers. These uses were balanced by capital revenues of the same value, including EGP 130.1 billion from diversified income sources and EGP 9.8 billion from loans.
Article Seven of the law stipulates that the decision is to be published in the Official Gazette and come into effect starting May 13, 2025. The results reflect the strong financial performance of NUCA and its role in supporting development and investment, thereby enhancing financial sustainability without imposing additional burdens on the state budget.
