Engineer Alaa Abdallah announced the introduction of two new transportation lines (Line 1 and Line 4) to connect the city market with surrounding areas. The possibility of adding more lines based on demand is under consideration in coordination with the Board of Trustees, led by Dr. Mohamed Helmy. The project aims to eliminate street vending, create an organized and secure environment, and improve accessibility to services for residents.
Engineer Abdallah emphasized that any vendors operating outside the designated market area after the final relocation deadline will be in violation of the law.
The initiative was lauded for its role in providing dignified workspaces for vendors, promoting a well-organized and safe environment, and enhancing the city’s aesthetic appeal. These steps follow a public lottery held last December, ensuring transparency and fairness in allocating market spaces.
In a related development, street vendors have launched an official Facebook page to promote their products and offers. This move aligns with modern digital marketing trends, helping vendors connect with customers and expand their business reach.
This initiative is part of a comprehensive plan to improve urban organization in 10th of Ramadan City. It aims to balance vendor stability and market regulation, contributing to better quality of life for residents while maintaining legal and equitable standards for all.
