Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf, Head of the New Suez City Authority, has announced the launch of a large-scale campaign to reclaim encroached land, supported by senior officials from the General Administration of Construction Police and actively assisted by the Suez Security Directorate. The campaign successfully reclaimed a total area of 123,938 square meters, with an estimated total value of 130 million EGP.
This initiative is part of the directives of Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, emphasizing the importance of monitoring investment lands in new cities, creating new investment opportunities, and safeguarding state-owned land.
Engineer Asmaa Makhlouf affirmed that various forms of support are provided to serious investors, as these lands represent a promising opportunity for launching investment projects that contribute to development goals and create new job opportunities.
The Head of the Authority further explained that these efforts maximize land utilization, supporting the national economy and strengthening New Suez City’s position as a prime investment destination. She emphasized the Authority’s commitment to offering all necessary facilities to investors who comply with legal regulations and established procedures.
The campaign saw participation from several key officials, including:
- Brigadier General Yehia El-Shazly, Director of the East Delta Sector of the Construction Police.
- Lieutenant Colonel Mohamed El-Sabrout, Head of the Construction Police Department at the Tenth of Ramadan Authority and supervisor of the Construction Police in New Suez City.
- Colonel Ahmed Atiya, Head of the Construction Police Department at the New Salhiya Authority.
Additionally, the Land Recovery Committee of the Authority took part, led by:
- Engineer Abdelhamid Mohamed Mahmoud, Deputy Head of the Authority.
- Engineer Mahmoud Basheer, Assistant to the Head of the Authority.
- Engineer Bassem Samir, Director of Projects and Housing.
- Mr. Hisham Shawkat, Security Director of the Authority.
This operation marks a huge step in protecting public land and ensuring its optimal utilization for investment and urban development.
