The New Obour City Authority held a meeting to follow up on the progress of the Green Housing Project in District 37, with the participation of senior officials from the Ministry of Housing, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Fund, and heads of new city authorities.
The meeting reviewed the project’s implementation rates and the quality of ongoing works compared to the approved timelines, with a focus on environmental sustainability standards and energy efficiency.

Participants recommended intensifying daily follow-ups, submitting weekly reports, addressing technical observations promptly, and strengthening the role of technical support teams to ensure quality.
The meeting included a field tour of the District 37 site, which comprises 143 buildings with a total of 3,432 units. Attendees praised the quality of construction and finishing works, emphasizing that the project stands as a model for sustainable social housing aligned with Egypt’s Vision 2050.
