Based on the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Social Housing and Mortgage Finance Support Fund, affiliated with the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, is preparing to launch 400,000 housing units soon for low- and middle-income citizens. This has led to an increase in searches for the release date of the new social housing units for 2025.
Mohamed El-Homsany, the official spokesperson for the Cabinet, stated that the government is working to provide the most significant number of social housing units for low- and middle-income groups. He confirmed that the Minister of Housing and the Engineering Authority had instructed a working team to study the details of the announcement, including the locations of the targeted units, pricing, payment methods, and unit sizes.
In a televised statement, the Cabinet spokesperson mentioned that the total number of housing units will reach 400,000, and all details will be officially announced after the Eid al-Fitr holiday.
El-Homsany also added that some units will be available for immediate delivery. In contrast, others will be completed within two years, a feature that may not be widely available in the real estate market.
