Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, affirmed that the Egyptian state has succeeded in providing diverse investment opportunities in the real estate sector, thanks to the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He highlighted the country’s notable achievements in developing numerous smart cities and enhancing the real estate product to meet the needs of various segments of developers and investors, whether local, Arab, or international.
This statement was made during the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, and the Arab Engineers Federation, aimed at promoting Egyptian real estate abroad. The signing ceremony, held today (Monday) at the Ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, was attended by Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny, Dr. Adel Al-Hadithi, Secretary-General of the Arab Engineers Federation, and representatives of engineering syndicates and entities from 18 Arab countries.
The protocol aims to coordinate efforts between the New Urban Communities Authority and the Arab Engineers Federation to support external promotion of Egyptian real estate, capitalizing on the Federation’s ability to access Arab markets and attract non-Egyptian clients, thereby boosting investment and knowledge exchange.
The agreement was signed to further develop the framework for exporting Egyptian real estate as a non-traditional source of national income, enhancing the country’s resources and increasing the competitiveness of Egypt’s property market through its advanced infrastructure and promising investment zones.
El-Sherbiny explained that the protocol marks a step toward opening new markets for Egyptian real estate, with Egypt working to transform its real estate sector into an export-oriented industry built on quality and transparency to foster investor trust.
In conclusion, the Minister emphasized that Egyptian real estate has evolved beyond the concept of traditional buildings, becoming a developmental and investment message that reflects the comprehensive urban renaissance Egypt is experiencing. He also noted that cooperation with Arab countries is a strategic priority supported by the political leadership and reflects Egypt’s commitment to strengthening ties in the development and urban planning fields.
