Ministry of Housing Accelerates “Housing for All Egyptians” Initiative Across Key Cities

The Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities is ramping up efforts to complete service, road, and landscaping projects as part of the presidential initiative “Housing for All Egyptians.” The accelerated work aims to ensure the timely handover of housing units to their respective beneficiaries in the cities of “15 May, New Obour, and Capital Gardens,” following the directives of Minister Sherif El-Sherbiny.

In 15 May City, the local authority is coordinating the landscaping for the “Housing for All Egyptians” project, which includes 91 buildings with a total of 2,184 residential units. The initiative targets middle-income families. The ongoing work includes road construction, paving, public utilities, and landscaping, particularly in the Al-Nargis area. The efforts are part of a comprehensive plan to intensify all activities related to the project.

The statement further highlighted that the ongoing work includes laying the asphalt layer for roads and creating parking spaces to facilitate future traffic flow. The Al-Nargis area consists of 465 buildings with a total of 111,060 housing units. Additionally, new trees are being planted, and gardens and green spaces are being developed to enhance the living environment. The extension of water and sewage networks to the buildings is also underway.

Infrastructure Development in New Obour City

In New Obour City, several projects are underway, including roads, utilities, electricity, and landscaping. The 16th district features 433 buildings with a total of 10,392 housing units under the “Housing for All Egyptians” initiative. The 15th district includes 705 buildings with a total of 16,920 units. Work is progressing on creating parking spaces, and installing interlock tiles, curbstones, and walkways between buildings.

Expedited Timelines in Capital Gardens

In Capital Gardens, efforts are focused on compressing timelines to complete housing units for low- and middle-income families, along with middle-income housing buildings. Contractors have been urged to accelerate project completion rates, particularly in constructing roads for social housing in the 2,350-acre area of the city.
