New Obour City is witnessing the construction of 19,000 housing units, including 4,000 green units, as part of the government’s new urban development projects. One of the most prominent projects under this initiative is the “Housing for All Egyptians” project in districts 15 and 16. This project comprises 638 buildings, each with an area of 90 square meters, bringing the total number of units to 15,312. Dr. Ahmed Ismail Gabr, Head of the City Authority, conducted an inspection tour of the project to monitor progress and ensure quality execution.

The Head of the City Authority emphasized the importance of delivering housing units to citizens on schedule while maintaining the highest quality standards in construction and interior and exterior finishes.
The tour also included an inspection of the infrastructure work associated with the project, such as utility networks, road paving, interlock, and curb installation, as well as landscaping between the buildings. These efforts aim to ensure a safe and suitable residential environment.
Dr. Gabr stressed the need to accelerate the completion of other service projects, such as healthcare centers, as these services play a fundamental role in improving the quality of life in new residential areas according to the vision of the General Authority for New Urban Communities.
4,000 Green Housing Units
Dr. Ahmed Ismail Gabr also visited the green housing projects in District 13, which consists of 180 buildings and 3,924 residential units designed to provide sustainable and environmentally friendly housing.
During his tour, he monitored the construction and finishing works, highlighting the importance of adhering to the set timelines while maintaining environmental and technical quality standards. He instructed the executing companies to intensify their efforts and focus on precision in implementation. He emphasized that quality assurance should continue even after project completion to ensure the best living conditions for residents.
