Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, arrived in New Alamein City to oversee the progress of various development projects in the Northwest Coast region. He was accompanied by officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), and the heads of new city authorities in the region.
During the visit, Minister El-Sherbiny announced the publication of the first edition of a comprehensive guide answering frequently asked questions (FAQ) related to Law No. 187 of 2023. The law addresses the reconciliation of certain building violations and the regulation of their legal status. The guide, prepared by a committee within the Ministry of Housing, aims to provide clarity on the law’s provisions and its executive regulations.
The minister emphasized that the booklet includes common questions and answers based on the legal framework, along with illustrative examples to help citizens and officials understand how to calculate fees for reconciliation and legalizing violations. This guide serves as a valuable tool for the authorities responsible for implementing the law and provides the public with clear guidance on how to benefit from the law’s advantages and the facilitations offered in its executive regulations.
The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to ensuring transparency and easing the process for citizens and businesses dealing with building violations, while promoting legal compliance in urban development projects across Egypt.
