Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, conducted an inspection visit to monitor the progress of the New Marina Lake project, the residential projects in Marina 8, and the general site of the M8 by the Lake project. During the tour, several officials from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of the Tourist Villages Authority in New Alamein City accompanied him.
During the visit, the Minister of Housing received a detailed briefing on the execution status of the New Marina Lake project. Dr. Eng. Mohamed Khalafallah, Head of the Tourist Villages Authority, explained that the project includes two water pumping stations, pipeline networks, and an underwater tunnel covering 820,000 square meters. He also noted that excavation works are progressing at an increasing rate.
Additionally, the minister was briefed by the Head of the Tourist Villages Authority on the progress of the lake expansion works in the New Marina by the Lake project and reviewed the details of all ongoing operations.
The Minister of Housing continued his tour by inspecting the Marina 8 project, where he assessed the construction progress, residential units, and the development of infrastructure and road networks connected to the project. The project is being developed on a total area of 179 acres and is set to include 243 buildings consisting of approximately 917 residential units, including chalets and villas.
During the tour, the minister also oversaw the renovation and enhancement of Marina’s main entrances in line with the ministry’s vision of improving entry points and incorporating modern urban designs that align with the development of external corridors in front of the Marina Alamein Tourist Center.
The Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of accelerating the implementation rates of the ongoing projects in Marina’s tourist villages, considering their strategic location on the North Coast and the significant demand they witnessed last year.
