Minister of Housing Reviews Implementation of Building Reconciliation Law

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, held an extensive meeting today with heads of new urban cities to discuss the implementation of Law No. 187 of 2023, concerning the reconciliation of building violations and the regulation of building conditions. The meeting aimed to ensure that the law is effectively applied, especially in new cities, to enhance urban stability and appearance.

During the meeting, the minister announced a decision to allow citizens who have complied with building permits to apply for increased building ratios for rooftop rooms starting in December. The focus of the discussion was on streamlining the reconciliation process, educating the public on the importance of the law, and encouraging them to submit reconciliation requests. The minister also emphasized the need for a unified approach in handling building violations across all new cities, ensuring efficient and timely resolution of reconciliation requests.
