This Friday morning, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, inspected the final preparations at Al Manara International Conference Center ahead of the World Urban Forum (WUF), set to be held from November 4 to 8.
Minister El-Sherbiny emphasized Egypt’s commitment to ensuring the forum’s organization and presentation are of the highest quality. He noted that the WUF is the second-largest event on the United Nations’ agenda, following the UN Climate Change Conference. The organization of the forum involves collaboration among multiple ministries and agencies to showcase Egypt’s urban achievements and maximize the impact of this global event.
The Minister toured the exhibition accompanying the forum, which will feature 52 countries and 115 exhibitors from international and local organizations. The Egyptian pavilion, covering an impressive 1,500 square meters, will present a range of displays from various Egyptian ministries and 11 real estate developers. A dedicated section will highlight Egypt’s role in supporting development across the African continent.
The Egyptian pavilion will feature the nation’s urban development journey, showcasing efforts to improve the quality of life for its citizens. Key areas of focus will include diverse housing projects, fourth-generation cities, and the country’s push toward sustainable, green urbanization. Public-private partnership projects will also be highlighted, offering investors and real estate developers an opportunity to present their projects on an international stage.
The Minister also inspected the various conference halls and event spaces designated for WUF sessions and events, ensuring they are ready to host the diverse activities planned for the forum.
