Minister of Housing Reviews Development Projects in Western North Coast

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbiny, held a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in New Alamein City to review the ongoing and planned development projects in the Western North Coast, which fall under the jurisdiction of the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA). The meeting included discussions with key officials, including the Vice President of NUCA and heads of various regional sectors.

The minister directed the formation of a committee to monitor the adherence of companies to the planned development projects, particularly the construction of hotel units and rooms. He emphasized the importance of expediting these projects to accommodate the expected increase in tourist influx, noting that the region saw visitors from 104 different nationalities this year alone.

El-Sherbiny highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to develop the Western North Coast region, leveraging its diverse resources, including tourism, agriculture, and industry. He also outlined plans for the creation of five new urban communities, each with a unique economic base, logistical areas, and connections to the national road network and transportation systems, to attract investments and residents.
