Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, clarified the difference between the “Beit Al Watan” and “Your Home in Egypt” initiatives. During a press conference announcing the launch of the executive steps for the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative—targeted at Egyptians living abroad—El-Sherbiny emphasized that “Beit Al Watan” is one of the key initiatives of the Ministry of Housing and its continuity and success remain a priority.
The primary function of the “Beit Al Watan” initiative is to provide a variety of land plots that cater to different housing preferences for Egyptians abroad. On the other hand, the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative aims to offer fully finished residential units in prime locations across various governorates and new cities. These units come at competitive prices compared to the local market, with discounts of up to 10% off the market price.
Regarding the “Your Home in Egypt” initiative, the Minister of Housing added that the project was developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a specialized task force from both ministries. Leading media companies were enlisted under the supervision of the Prime Minister and with direct guidance from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to ensure the initiative’s optimal presentation. He also noted that since February 15, the campaign has been intensified, successfully raising over 100 million in a short period.
