Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the successful removal of land encroachments and the recovery of approximately 80 feddans in New Luxor City. These violations included illegal cultivation and unauthorized constructions involving six separate cases of encroachment.
The operation was carried out in the presence of Engineer Mohamed Essam El-Din Mohamed Fathy, Head of the New Tiba City Development Authority and Supervisor of New Luxor City, along with several officials from the authority and a security force from the Luxor Security Directorate.
The Minister also added that 15 demolition orders were executed in the Zawyet El-Awama area (north of the coastal road), resulting in the removal of 15 illegal buildings. This operation was secured by the El-Dabaa Police Department and attended by Engineer Nader El-Sayed Zafaran, Head of the Second Sector Development Authority in the Northwestern Coastal Area, alongside authority officials.
These actions come as part of the government’s efforts to enforce discipline, combat illegal encroachments, protect state-owned property, and eliminate any violations on lands managed by new urban city authorities.
