Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the release of the first edition of a comprehensive FAQ booklet addressing the implementation of Law No. 187 of 2023. The law pertains to the reconciliation of certain building violations and the regularization of their status, along with its executive regulations. The booklet was prepared by a committee within the Ministry of Housing, tasked with responding to inquiries regarding the law.
The minister explained that the booklet includes frequently asked questions and their answers based on the provisions of the law and its executive regulations. It also features illustrative examples that demonstrate how to calculate the reconciliation fees and legalize building statuses, serving as a guide for all entities applying the law and its regulations. This initiative aims to assist and familiarize the public with the procedures, making it easier for them to take advantage of the benefits and facilities provided by the law.
Furthermore, El-Sherbiny noted that the ministry had previously developed three other guidelines aimed at the public, technical committees, appeals committees, and relevant administrative authorities. These were distributed to all new city authorities to raise awareness, encourage citizens to submit reconciliation requests, and clarify the roles of administrative bodies and committees in helping them carry out their duties. An informative video on the reconciliation process and required documents has also been made available for viewing via provided links.
Engineer Nafisa Mahmoud Hashem, advisor to the minister and head of the committee overseeing inquiries related to the law, stated that the booklet has been distributed to all administrative bodies across the governorates and the New Urban Communities Authority for official use. It is also accessible electronically through the designated link.
