Minister of Housing Receives Officials from a Global Glass Manufacturing Company to Discuss Cooperation

Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, received officials from Guardian Glass, a leading international company specializing in eco-friendly glass manufacturing, to discuss potential avenues for mutual cooperation. El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of localizing project components and reducing reliance on imports, in line with President El-Sisi’s directives and the Green Building Strategy launched during the 12th World Urban Forum (WUF12), which includes an environmentally friendly building code.

The Minister highlighted the significance of collaborating with global companies that specialize in modern construction technologies. He pointed out the ministry’s commitment to adopting sustainable solutions aimed at enhancing the quality of life in new urban communities. During the meeting, opportunities for collaboration in the ministry’s ongoing projects were explored, with Guardian Glass representatives showcasing their products, including heat-insulating and energy-saving treated glass used in modern buildings.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the Minister instructed that efforts be coordinated with the company to meet the Ministry’s glass requirements for new city projects.
