The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Eng. Sherif El-Sherbini, welcomed Mr. Kanazawa Yukio, CEO of Japan’s “Titan Capital” company, to discuss avenues of cooperation in real estate development and the localization of advanced technologies in Egypt.
The minister emphasized the depth of relations between Egypt and Japan and the ministry’s desire to enhance cooperation with Japanese companies. He highlighted the availability of diverse investment opportunities in urban, service-oriented, and tourism projects. Additionally, he expressed interest in localizing the production of specialized equipment for infrastructure and utility projects.
El-Sherbini also announced a strategic plan to establish seawater desalination plants and noted the possibility of joint collaboration in this sector due to the growing demand in targeted regions.
On his part, Mr. Kanazawa Yukio thanked the Minister for the meeting and praised the significant progress in Egypt’s urban development and infrastructure, which he had witnessed firsthand. He affirmed that the Ministry of Housing represents an inspiring model of urban planning that boosts investment prospects and creates an attractive business environment. He also pointed to the notable improvement in Egypt’s investment climate, thanks to various incentives and facilitation measures, which reflect the political will to position Egypt as a regional investment hub.
Titan Capital expressed its confidence in the potential of the Egyptian market and its intention to inject new investments in the housing and urban development sectors, with a focus on building strategic partnerships with government entities, particularly the Ministry of Housing. The company also presented its operations in Japan and plans for global expansion.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Minister El-Sherbini instructed the ministry’s team to organize meetings and workshops with the company to explore the available investment opportunities in detail.
