Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the launch of the public lottery for distinguished, medium, and small residential plots under the “Maskan” initiative. Applications for these plots were accepted from November 7, 2024, to January 6, 2025, in the cities of the 10th of Ramadan, New Aswan, and Badr. The lottery is being held at the indoor hall of Cairo International Stadium.
Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagi, Vice President of the New Urban Communities Authority for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, stated that the number of distinguished plots in the 10th of Ramadan City reached 1,270, with 46 applicants from people of determination and 1,137 other citizens competing for them.
In New Aswan, 298 plots were offered, attracting applications from 26 people of determination and 464 other applicants. Meanwhile, in Badr City, a lottery was conducted for 60 plots, which received applications from 563 people of determination and 24,696 other clients.
A public lottery will also be held for Dar Misr units on the 10th of Ramadan, premium housing units in Badr City, and medium residential plots in New Assiut on February 17, 2025. The lottery process will continue on February 18 for Rawdat Al-Obour units and the most distinguished housing plots in Obour and New Mansoura. On February 19, the lottery will cover Sakan Misr units and distinguished plots in West Assiut and other cities. The lottery for distinguished plots in Sadat City is scheduled for February 20, while the lottery for medium residential plots in New Borg El Arab will be held on February 26, 2025.
The public lottery for Janna units and distinguished residential plots on October 6 City is set for February 24, 2025, while the Janna units in New Cairo will occur on February 25, 2025. Only applicants who have paid the booking deposit can attend the lottery, which is broadcast live on the New Urban Communities Authority’s official website. Applicants who violate the booking terms have been disqualified from participation.
