The Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, has reviewed the progress of road development projects in residential areas across several new cities, including the 15th of May, Sheikh Zayed, New Damietta, and New Minya. He emphasized accelerating these projects to enhance residents’ comfort while adhering to timelines and standard specifications.
Engineer Ali Saad, Head of the 15th of May City Development Authority, announced the completion of road development work in the fourth phase of family and social housing areas. This includes the implementation of asphalt layers and curbstones. He also highlighted the ongoing road improvements in neighborhoods 1 through 6 as part of a comprehensive plan to upgrade infrastructure and road quality, thereby improving traffic flow.
The project involves rehabilitating and expanding primary and secondary roads in these neighborhoods using modern materials and techniques to ensure durability. Additionally, stormwater drainage systems are being installed. Engineer Marwa Hussein, Head of the Sheikh Zayed City Authority, oversees road development in key areas to meet quality and traffic safety standards. The work includes upgrading roads in the 11th district and parts of the 7th and 8th districts, strictly adhering to the project schedule. She urged residents to preserve these developments and avoid water wastage, warning of legal action against violations.
Engineer Ashraf Fathy Mahmoud, Head of the New Damietta City Development Authority, conducted an inspection tour of road projects south of the first district. He stressed the importance of compliance with standards, high-quality implementation, and improving sidewalks and curbstones. This road is a vital corridor for the industrial zone and government offices. Meanwhile, Engineer Ahmed Mostafa Mohamed, Head of the New Minya City Authority, supervised street and square cleaning operations, instructing waste management companies to maintain environmental cleanliness and the city’s aesthetic appeal.
