On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, Eng. Sherif Al-Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, announced the completion of a public manual lottery for residential units previously offered for immediate reservation in New Mansoura City. The lottery is part of a larger initiative that included 1,645 diverse residential units available for reservation in eight new cities.
In an official statement, the minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority (NUCA), to providing land and residential units of various types to citizens in new cities. This is achieved through multiple mechanisms designed to meet the diverse needs of the public. The NUCA Board had earlier approved the offering of these 1,645 units, with areas reaching up to 161 square meters, under flexible payment plans for immediate reservation. The cities included in the offering were New Mansoura, 10th of Ramadan, 6th of October, Obour, New Salhiya, New Mallawi, New Borg El Arab, and New Rashid. Allocations were made through a transparent public manual lottery system following the reservation period.
Dr. Hassan El-Shorbagy, Deputy Head of NUCA for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, supervised the lottery process, held in a dedicated venue at the New Mansoura City Authority. The event was attended by regulatory bodies, accountant Ehab El-Marakbi, Assistant to the Deputy Head for Real Estate and Commercial Affairs, and Eng. Mohamed El-Ghamrawy, Head of the New Mansoura City Authority. To ensure transparency and fairness, the lottery was broadcast live on NUCA’s official website.
This initiative highlights the ministry’s dedication to creating equitable opportunities for citizens to access high-quality housing in Egypt’s growing urban communities.
